We are not professional lobbyists. 
So the ways of the Texas State Legislature are new to many of us. 
Unfortunately it’s a whole new ballgame in the animal world.
If you like your animals, it’s no longer a guarantee that you can keep your animals!

RPOA has learned that it is not enough to simply hire a lobbyist
and think that’s all we need to do! 
It is imperative that each of you become involved in elections
and get to know your legislators personally. 
A $100 donation delivered personally during campaigns
should get you a personal visit with any candidate. 
While nonprofits cannot support any candidates at election time,
our members certainly can as individuals.
