“It’s Time to Take Back Texas Animal Issues”
Who has more animal expertise than we do?

Texas Humane Legislation Network states on their website
that they are the political arm and voice for every animal
and animal welfare agency in Texas.

Texas Humane Legislation Network, HSUS and ASPCA don’t speak for us!

Please e-mail Jacque at jacque15@att.net to register
for Lobby Day and give her the names of your representatives.
Meet us at 10:00 a.m. to hear a few words from our lobbyists and others.

Each of you are to make your own appointments for the day with your representative and senator who can be found on the state’s website http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/

by entering your address in the form.   Print it out as it contains the location of their offices at the Capitol and district offices, and all contact information.

Legislators always like to meet constituents personally in their offices.  If the legislator is busy, his aide will meet with you.  The aides are very important and will convey your comments to the legislator.  Due to the large number of bills filed each year, legislators depend heavily on their aides for guidance when voting.

If you are new to the legislative process, that’s no problem.  Meetings are brief!
We’ll have a packet in our room for your legislators and suggested dialogue.

First question for your legislator is:  “Do you own a pet?”

Don’t forget to pick up your RPOA identification button!
